Ronald (Ron) Maurice Janish, age 83 of Twining, MI, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, surrounded by loving family. He was born on September 9, 1940, in Pontiac, MI to the late John and Elizabeth Janish (Weishuhn).
Ron served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1959, when he was honorably discharged and continued in the Reserves from 1959 to 1963. Ron was a jack of all trades professionally, working as a machinist, a carpenter, milk hauler, and heavy equipment operator in the pipeline industry. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida. With his extensive travels, both for work and play, he was a walking road map. There are few others that know roads, from gravel county roads to interstates, like Ron did, to the point that it amazed anyone that he could share stories with. At home, he enjoyed and took pride in maintaining his house and lawn. Ron was also a member of the American Legion (Standish).
Ron is survived by his four children, Jeff (Barb), Ron (Adam), Darrell (Tiffany), and Nicki; brother Terry (Darlene); sister Laura Henderson; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The Janish family will host a visitation on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining, MI, 15 W. Maple Ridge Rd. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences, memories, and photos of Ron.
