Ken Bendick, 84, of Roscommon

Kenneth Robert Bendick, age 84, of Roscommon, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home.

Ken was born February 18, 1940, in Detroit, MI the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Goebel) Bendick.

Ken’s passion was always for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent over 50 years involved with church work. He married the love of his life, Rosemary on June 28, 1969. He had many hobbies and interests over the years. He and Rosemary loved roller skating; and they even taught lessons for a while. He belonged to many organizations over the years. Some included: the Audubon Society, Mustang Club, Photography Club, Livingston Gem and Mineral Society, and Roscommon Historic Model Train Museum.

Ken will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his children: Larry Witt, Jim Witt, Jeanie (Jim) Stock, Lisa Spencer, Ray (Jenny) Witt, Jackie (Gerry) Cornell and Elizabeth (Jim) Stachowiak; grandchildren: Steve (Amanda), Pat (Kara), Linda (Rob), Kristina (Jeremy), Michael (Alicia), Danny, Amber (Max), Angela (Steve), Ashlee, Melissa, Natalie, Eric, Emily, Joshua (Jennica), Malachi (Amanda), Courtney and Madison; great-grandchildren: Travis, Abigale, Max, Auburn, Ronan, Skyla, Chloe, Hailie, Bradley, Kaden, Isaac, Everett, Avery, Hailey, Trevor, Cameron, Azlyn, Aubin, Juniper, Chasity, Malachi, Eli, Luke and Matthew; as well as, many nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy Bendick; wife, Rosemary; son, Gordon Witt; son-in-law, Phillip Spencer; and daughter-in-law, Laura Witt.

Family and friends will gather at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, with an hour of gathering prior, at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, 905 I-75 Business Loop, Grayling, Michigan 49738.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Ken’s name to: Mount Hope Lutheran Church, Grayling, Michigan, or Roscommon Historic Model Train Museum.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
