Derrick Fitzgerald Turner, age 58, of East Tawas, Michigan former resident of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at his home on Monday, June 24, 2024.
He was born the son of the late Ronald and Janice (Wyatt) Turner on November 26,1965 in Quantico, Virginia. Derrick served in the National Guard and worked for various factories in the state of Michigan for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid alien hunter. Derrick married his best friend, Lisa, on June 8, 1985. As life often goes through some twists and turns, Derrick and Lisa’s marriage ended, but on June 8, 2013, they happily rededicated their lives to each other and remarried and enjoyed the next 9 years together before Lisa’s passing in 2022.
Derrick is survived by his daughters Natasha (Jason) Bailey and Courtney (Timothy) Himes his sister Maile Gordon; granddaughters Cheyenne Robedeau and Veronica Himes; nephews Christopher, Joshua and Brian Humphrey. Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and step-brother John Larson.
