Carrie Morey, 68, of Rose City

Carrie Sue Morey, age 68, passed away on Wednesday June 19, 2024, at Medilodge of Alpena in Alpena, MI. She was born on October 3, 1955, in West Branch, MI to George Vliet and Doris Bartels.  She lived in Rose City, MI for most of her life.  Carrie was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her family with love and care. 

Carrie pursued her education and obtained an associates degree from Kirtland Community College. With a passion for learning and growing, she instilled the value of education in her children and encouraged them to reach for their dreams. She worked for Cooper Standard Automotive in Fairview, MI for over 20 years.  Carrie was a member of the Prince of Peace Church in Rose City.

Throughout her life, Carrie enjoyed various hobbies and interests including camping, trapping, horseback riding, reading, and quilting. Her adventurous spirit and creative talents brought joy to those around her.

Carrie is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Scott) Chartier and Barbara (Alex) Berg, as well as her grandchildren Samantha Chartier, Michael Chartier, and C. Berg. She is also remembered by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Charles Morey, and her son Charles Morey III. Although she will be deeply missed by all who knew her, Carrie’s legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Rest in peace, Carrie Sue Morey. Your warmth and grace will be cherished eternally.

Cremation has taken place.
