Barbara Prince, 92, of Alger

Barbara Ann (Johns) Prince passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 23, 1931, in Marine City, MI to Alvin and Irene (Jacoby) Johns. Barbara graduated from Marine City High School in 1949. She married Leo Erick Prince on April 21st, 1951. Barbara enjoyed watching The Price is Right and other game shows, soap operas, and she loved to play Bingo. She founded the Skidway Friends Picnic in the early 90s.

Barbara is survived by her children; Richard (Nancy) Prince, Donald (Judy) Prince, Deborah Young, Darlene Prince, Doreen (Brian) Warden, Reuben (Jennifer) Prince, and daughter in law, Laurel Lee Prince; 21 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Leo, she is preceded in death by her parents, sons; David James Prince, Duane Prince, grandson Craig Prince, and brothers; Kenneth Johns and Harold Johns.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 5th, 2024, at 4:00pm at 1514 Silver Creek St, Alger, MI.
