Dale Begley, 75, of Oscoda

Dale Edward Begley, beloved husband of Darla Joy Dykes, and eldest son of John Kenneth and Betty Irene (Congdon) Begley, passed away at his home in Oscoda on the morning of January 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Born November 3, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan, Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman leading to regular trips to the Oscoda area prior to his retirement from the Ford Michigan Proving Grounds as a test driver. Afterward, Dale owned Wallhangers Archery followed by AuSable Real Estate Services while continuing to explore the outdoors and search for a better cup of coffee.

Survivors include his wife, Darla; three children, Jeffrey, Jennifer, and David; eight grandchildren, Alex, Gwyndalyn, Tristen, Thoryn, Codie, Karson, Ethan, and Luna; and two great-grandchildren, Abby and Kennedy (thus far), and two very close friends, Jeff Beach and Frank “Paco” Ortiz. He is preceded by his parents and younger brother, John Gary Begley.
