Daniel VanLandeghem, 63, of AuGres

Daniel James VanLandeghem, (63), of AuGres Michigan, passed away suddenly on November 27, 2023. Daniel was born to James and Betty VanLandeghem on September 26, 1960. Daniel is survived by his wife Sharon VanLandeghem and her children Ron, Mike, and Nikki Larsen, his son Joshua VanLandeghem and wife Christy VanLandeghem, son James VanLandeghem and wife Amy VanLandeghem, daughter Jessaca Brake, grandchildren Sage VanLandeghem, Donald Brake, Maxwell VanLandeghem, Austin Brake, Isabella VanLandeghem, Isaac VanLandeghem, Rose VanLandeghem, Amelia VanLandeghem, Jesse Brake, Elise VanLandeghem, Brother Michael VanLandeghem, sister Bonnie Arion, and sister Julie Limoseth. Preceded in death by his father, James VanLandeghem, Mother Betty VanLandeghem, and stepson Kenny Larsen.

Daniel, also fondly known by others as Dan, Danny, and dad, was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Daniel had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make others laugh. He was kind to everyone, which made him loved by almost everyone he met. Daniel was the kind of person who would take his own shirt off his back for anyone in need, good, bad, or otherwise. He loved anything to do with the outdoors and was always ready for an adventure. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Daniel was a master of many trades but was an astounding and artfully skilled carpenter.

Although he was taken from us suddenly and far too soon, and even though our hearts are aching so deeply, our dad was a firm believer in God and wholeheartedly accepted Jesus Christ as the son of God, and his savior. So I know that he’s with Jesus in heaven, fishing with Grandpa Van and uncle Bob in the river of life. Our dad was loved dearly by us children. We will miss him every day for the rest of our lives until we meet again at the pearly gates of heaven.

Daniels Family will host a viewing on Saturday, December 2 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, at Buresh funeral home at 101 Michigan Ave, AuGres MI 48703. Followed by a burial at Linwood Cemetery at 2659 Linwood Rd, AuGres MI. Reception following at St. Johns Lutheran Church at 206 N Court St. AuGres MI 48703
