HIGGINS LAKE – The Roscommon-Higgins Lake Lions Club sponsored the 43rd Annual Ski for Light program in the cross-country ski areas near the RAM Center on the North Shore of Higgins Lake.  The event offers visually impaired skiers the opportunity to participate in the sport, assisted by a sighted skier. Conditions for the event were outstanding with about 10 inches of snow over the weekend. A record number of skiers turned out, including more than 100 from Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. To learn more about the Roscommon Lions Club and the positive work it does in the community, visit Roscommon-Higgins Lake Lions Club on Facebook. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday at 7 p.m. at its clubhouse, located on Federal Highway in Roscommon.
