Roy Lee Delleree, age 89, of Roscommon, died on Monday, July 27, 2020, in Bay City, Michigan.

 

Roy was born April 11, 1931 in Ubly, Michigan, the son of Leland and Hazel (Ebert) Delleree. He married Alva Allen on August 1, 1970 in Warren, Michigan. Roy served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

 

In his youth, Roy played high school sports. He liked to go boating and waterskiing. Roy was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking even in his spare time. He especially liked to make jewelry boxes and would give them to his close friends and family members. He and Alva loved to go camping and watching the Detroit Tigers together. He also loved spending time with his dog, Brandy.

 

Roy will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his daughters: Barbara (Richard) Doyle of White Lake and Bonnie (Dan) Bruton of Metamora.

 

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife Alva.

 

Visitation will take place at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 10 am to 12 noon. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, indoor visitation will be limited to 10 people at a time. A memorial service will take place on the lawn of the funeral home beginning at noon. Should inclement weather make an outdoor service impossible, a private family-only service will be held indoors.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Roy’s name to the Michigan Humane Society.
