Martinus John Letts, age 62, of Roscommon, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020, at his home and in the presence and comfort of his family.

Marty was born on November 17, 1957 in Muskegon, Michigan to Clarence and Yvonne (Meyers) Letts. He married Toni Sue West on October 20, 1979 in Roscommon.

Marty was a wrecker operator for W and W Auto Parts for 42 years, and was also a groundskeeper at White Deer Golf Course in Prudenville. He enjoyed camping, boating, NASCAR, and of course spending time with his family and his cat, Scruffy. He will be remembered for being Toni Sue’s voice of reason, and for always keeping a great sense of humor… he was the Jolly Joker.          

Marty will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Toni Sue, of Roscommon; children Jessica and Callie Letts of Roscommon; grandchildren Dylan and Dallas Akin, and Dominic and Derek Adams; siblings Marsha (Jim) Aldred, Kenny Letts, Rachell (Harold) Conner, Gary (Bruenetta) Letts, Tim (Betty Ann) Letts, and Michael Letts; loving in-laws Tony and Sandy West; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dale Letts and Clarence Letts, Jr.

Marty’s family will have a memorial service at a later date. Burial will take place at Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Marty’s name to his wife, Toni Sue Letts, at 1776A North M-18, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
