Patricia “Honey” Ann Palmer, age 92, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at home in Gaylord, Michigan, in the presence and comfort of her family.
Pat was born June 3, 1931, in Dearborn, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Downing) Rogan.
Pat enjoyed baking. She was known for her cake decorating. She enjoyed many hobbies and activities throughout her life. She liked bowling, motorcycle riding, and stock car racing, as well as ballroom dancing. Pat enjoyed camping and family vacations. Most of all, Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and being supportive to her grandchildren. Pat and Guy never missed a go-cart race, the grandkids concerts, or sporting events.
Pat will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Richard
(Cynthia) Palmer of Waterford, Michigan, Janice (Daryl) Chapel of Gaylord, Michigan; grandchildren: Sandi (Eric) Magee, Derek (Renee) Palmer, Amber (Jeffrey) Chapel Ruthford, Geoffrey Chapel; greatgrandchildren: Ashley DeFrain, Ron DeFrain, Jessica DeFrain, Caden Palmer, Ariana Palmer; great great-grandchildren: Tristan and Lily; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guy (deceased, 2018); sisters: Barbara Jean Weisbrod, Shirley “Tootsie” Watt, Mary Margaret Shick, Carol Lee Swenson; brothers: Henry “Sonny” Rogan, Robert Rogan.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00-7:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. The Rosary will be held starting at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, with an hour of gathering prior to the Mass, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Pat will be laid to rest at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, Michigan.
